Worldwide Charity
Project Overview
Lessons learned during the pandemic created an opportunity for the Head Office team to relocate to a smaller, more energy and cost-efficient building, transitioning from a traditional office environment to a more agile way of working. This shift centred on creating flexible, adaptable spaces that support collaboration, focused work and evolving team dynamics.
Working alongside an experienced and forward-thinking Change Management and Design Team, the brief was to deliver an agile workplace aligned with the charity’s aspirations, values and future working practices.
With sustainability identified as the charity’s number one priority, up to 70% of the furniture was gifted, upcycled and repurposed as part of the transition. This commitment significantly reduced environmental impact while preserving valuable resources.
WeSpace was engaged to support the selection of furniture solutions that would enable this new and unfamiliar way of working — fostering collaboration while ensuring staff wellbeing remained a priority.
Complementing the reused pieces, new ergonomically designed and sustainably manufactured furniture was carefully selected to support flexible settings and adaptable ways of working. Every element was chosen to provide both comfort and versatility, enabling employees to confidently embrace the shift to an agile environment.
The result is a workplace that not only supports agility and performance, but also reflects the organisation’s strong commitment to sustainability and its people-first ethos.
